Love the poem and life on the Australian forest floor. It is so different over here in London although there are lots of parklands throughout the city.
Anyway, I have taken a leaf out of your books, at www.murch.globalteacher.org.au and posted about our first night with what I hear, see and smell. Asked the kids to respond with the Australian contrast, so if you want to use it you can, or else they do it in the info tech class.
I have added a post on using wordle in my other blog at www.murcha.wordpress.com as I tend to capture the screen, save it as jpg through MS Paint and upload as an image on my blog. Otherwise it is far too small. Let me know if that does not work.

Tzigane's MyStudio quiz seemed to work well when I tried it out here Marg.
We have all come a long way in the past six months haven't we? Your site is looking fantastic with different embedded content each post. Well done!

I loved Berry Springs too, Marg. The things I remember most about Darwin were the tree frogs in the bathroom, geckos on the ceiling and lizards in the back yard. I hope you went to the Mindil Beach markets and Kakadu too.

I loved a lot of the springs that existed around Darwin as well. It was also hot and clammy when we were there. My mother wanted to see one of the spectacular thunderstorms that Darwin can experience. We did see a small thunderstorm that came with such heavy rains. One of the most amazing water holes that we swam in was south of Darwin at Edith Falls. We swam across to the falls and found turtles and fish swimming in amongst us.

I love this photo, and can't wait to start my own photo a week journey...might be a bit tricky considering I don't own a camera, but I'll get around that I am sure.
Also, just one more thing.....
One day I went to the football at The Telstra Dome. The family in front of me were barracking for Collingwood. Anyway, they turned out to be not so bad, and I spent a lot of the game talking to them about blogging and the great work that goes on at Hawkesdale College. They were rightly impressed and now THEY'RE coming here for a visit...........THEIR house is in Glen Iris, so it'll be quite a journey.

Thanks Marg - great photos and a real test of my conjunctions and prepositions! I'm sure your students will have fun creating their own quiz. See you next Monday!
P.S. I have plenty of chocolate to bring back to you all.
